RCA / C.D. Howe Scholarship for Art and Design
The primary objective of the RCA / C.D. Howe Scholarship for Art and Design is to provide significant opportunities for graduating undergraduate students from professional art and design colleges and universities in Canada to pursue further formal study or professional development in a discipline represented by the RCA membership.
Each year the RCA Scholarship Committee approaches the heads of one or more Canadian university programs in art and design, to select their most accomplished graduating student in a designated discipline through a fair and equitable process. Disciplines and geographical locations rotate annually.
Wherever possible a regional representative of the RCA presents the scholarship to the successful candidate at an awards ceremony at their home university, preferably at the Spring convocation or equivalent ceremony.
